Denmark is a small country just north of Germany with a lot to offer. It is respected for its literature, as well as its accomplishments in science, art, and architecture. The climate of Denmark is mild with temperature averages ranging from 32 to 61 degrees Fahrenheit. The people of Denmark highly regard family life and equal rights for all. Social welfare is highly valued causing heavy taxes (about 50 %) for the Danes.

Interesting Facts about Denmark

  • Danish is older than Norwegian and German but sounds similar to Norwegian with a German influence. Denmark has a mandatory (but fun!) language camp that all international students attend.
  • The food in Denmark is excellent, from boiled potatoes and Frikadella to the abundance of wonderful baked goods.
