Inbound Orientation Session/Club Exchange Officer Training

An orientation has been planned for all new inbound exchange students, their host families, and club exchange officers who missed the summer training:

Saturday, September 8, 2007
Registration: 8:15-8:45 a.m.
General session begins: 9:00 a.m.
Club Officer Training begins: 10:00 a.m.

Location:  Roseville Area Middle School (see map)
15 E. County Road B-2, Little Canada, Minnesota

Picnic to follow on the school grounds.  Bring a blanket or camp chairs!

Attendance at this session is mandatory for new students and their first host families.  All host families are invited and encouraged to attend.  (Club Exchange Officer, please extend invitation to all host families.)

We know you will find this session valuable.  You will also enjoy the opportunity to meet other exchange students, host families, Rotex (former outbound students from Districts 5950 & 5960), Rotarians and others involved in the program.

Country officers should go over the Orientation Check List.

Club Officers, there will be a Club Officer training during this session.  The 2007-2008 Club Youth Exchange Officer Manual, a Training DVD, Host Family Handbooks, and updated Forms A, B, C, and D will be distributed – as mandated by Rotary International and the US Department of State.  This meeting counts as an official club make-up for Rotarians.

Following the orientation session at Roseville Area Middle School, there will be a BBQ picnic on the school grounds.  All Rotarians, Rotex, inbound students and host families are invited.

To assist with planning, please print and complete the registration form and submit it to the Youth Exchange Office so it is received by Tuesday, September 4.

Thank you!  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, September 8.
