Listed below are important events and activities that will useful for all potential and current outbound students. Please make sure that you mark all of these in your calendar.

* Outbound candidates submit completed applications to club.

OCTOBER 1 - NOVEMBER 8, 2007

* Local Rotary club interviews outbound candidates.

NOVEMBER 9, 2007

* Submit the applications of all qualified candidates to the Rotary District Youth Exchange Office.
* Submit the Inbound Student Request/Participation Form if you have not already done so.

NOVEMBER 12-16, 2007

* District appointments are made for final interviews with outbound candidates.

Saturday, December 1, 2007

* District interviews are held. Final selection will be determined at a subsequent meeting of the District Youth Exchange Committee (DYEC). The DYEC has final approval of any and all youths selected for this program.

DECEMBER 22, 2007

* All applicants and their sponsor club exchange officers are notified by mail of the results of District interviews.
* RULE: A club may host a youth without sending a youth. A club is required to host at least one inbound student when sponsoring one or more outbound students.
* The youth applicant may be, but is not required to be a son or daughter of a Rotarian.

2008 OUTBOUND ORIENTATION SESSIONS FOR CANDIDATES ACCEPTED INTO PROGRAM

* Sessions must be attended by outbound candidate and parents - Roseville Area Middle School, Roseville, MN

• Saturday, January 26, 2008 - First orientation session - 8:30 AM-2:30 PM
• Saturday, March 8, 2008 - Second orientation session – 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
• Saturday, April 12, 2008 – Third orientation session – 8:30 AM-2:00 PM

* For all returning outbound students and their parents, Rotex, and Youth Exchange Committee. Time and location to be announced. Dates are as follows:

* For all returning 2007-2008 outbound students and their parents.
