Learn About the Countries: Brazil Exchange Program

Brazil is one of the best country in the WORLD! It is one of the largest exchange countries; about 6,400 students each year will do an exchange in Brazil (includes several exchange programs, Rotary is one of the largest programs offered). Portuguese is the 4 most widely spoken language in the world. The business market is increasing rapidly, known as the China of Latin America. Brazil offers about 4 trips a year, including Nordeste, Foz do Iguaçu, Pantanal, Amazonas. The Brazilians are very warm and generous; they will do ANYTHING to please their guests

  • Each region in Brazil is very special
  • Great historical locations are Ouro Pretto, Sao Joao.
  • Other fun locations are Nordeste (north east), visiting all of the famous white sand beaches.
  • Foz do Iguaçu, has the largest waterfall in the world.
  • Sao Paulo has an amazing theme park named Hopi Hari.

  • Local cuisine: everyday Brazilians eat beans and rice, and then a meat and vegetable are added. Their chocolate is well known throughout the world. They have very strong coffee that is very famous in the U.S.
  • Currency is the 'Real'
  • Cultural activities vary from regions that people live in. One activity is learning how to samba and forro. People also have to learn their amazing open culture of kissing and hugging.

People may think that Brazil is poor, full of crime, and a waist of time. Once enrolled to go on the exchange,   students will learn why Brazil is the best country for an exchange, the benefits that it has to offer!
